A former high school biology teacher, she has a strong background in biological science and teaching, both of which she brings to her dog training sessions. After years of teaching high school, she decided to follow her dream of working with animals and founded Pups Unleashed.

The principles of classical and operant conditioning are the foundation of her training protocols. She takes a scientific approach to training, applying the most recent, reward-based training methods to improve behavior and build relationships between humans and their pups.
She received her dog training Certification with Distinction from the CATCH Academy of Dog Trainers. After graduating from CATCH Academy, she pursued and earned the title of Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She is trained in the areas of dog obedience and problem behavior solving as well as canine behavior (ethology), development, and evolutionary biology.
A former volunteer for the Humane League of Lancaster, Arie is an advocate for rescue dog rehabilitation and adoption. Inspired by her own dogs and the shelter pups with which she's worked, her passion is training rescue dogs to help them overcome behavioral challenges that stem from their unique background.
